Halloween Night!

Since my husband can't divorce me because I am caring his future baseball player I will post this picture. Believe me, those are forced smiles on Brad and Rob's faces. They were not pleased with the idea of a family group costume. I loved it however, Harper just stared wide eyed and open mouthed as strangers gave her candy that would eventually be consumed by her mother and aunts. Mara boldly marched up to doors with a confidant "Trick or Treat!" while our ever cautious Reaghan observed the strangers and considered the candy options before asking politely her quiet "Trick or Treat". I was proud of both girls for always giving a clear thank you and Reaghan often added in a wave if she was impressed with your costume. What I loved the most was seeing Rob at the end of the night carry both girls from house to house as they started to get tired. They took turns riding on his shoulders and got a renewed energy to hit every house on the street since they now had a ride. I loved seeing him never get tired of taking them up to houses and can't wait for him to have our little guy to trick or treat with. Amazingly enough we all woke up really early and thought we were hitting the stores the next morning at noon only to find out we all had missed daylight savings and it was really eleven. The Pottery Barn for Kids saleswomen thought we were obsessive as we hovered outside wondering why they wouldn't open the doors for us. They finally came out and told us it would be another hour. So we hung out at Utica Square sharing snacks of course in the beautiful weather waiting for the stores to open. I have no idea what time we all got up then b/c we had taken our sweet time getting ready and Jennifer made a big yummy breakfast so we must have been up early!

It was a great weekend and the only thing missing were my two dear sisters Sarah and Lindsay. Understandably though as Lindsay is only 2 weeks away from marrying my brother and has to be stressed :) and Sarah had to work. Luckily we'll all be together on November 21st for the wedding!!! I'll post more then!
