11 Months Old!

Well here we go! We are in our final month before turning one! It is absolutely crazy to think that one year is almost over! So many things are happening that I have vowed to be updating this blog on a weekly basis this month. Our first tooth is coming in and I am the luckiest mom in the world! The worst we've had is some messy diapers and a lot of drool. Carter is still sleeping through the night and hasn't seemed to notice. I'm knocking on wood right now so don't worry. So many things are happening that I'll try to put the 11 most
exciting things going on right now in a list

• We are currently 75 days accident free on our changing table wall. We like to say our reflexes are getting faster.
• Currently we are only 1 day accident free standing naked next to the bathtub watching the water fill up. He really loves to watch the tub fill up and it is so cute to see his little bare bottom bouncing up and down in excitement!
• He says mama and dada towards us a bit and does some eating signs after he has finished eating. He just likes to confirm that "yes mommy, I had milk!" he just smiles when i sign at him, he knows them but just keeps smiling and refusing to sign when the appropriate times are! The little stinker.
• One tooth is coming in on the bottom. This is late but not as late as mommy got her teeth so hopefully this means he'll have pretty good teeth like she has. I heard a rumor that says the later you get teeth the better so that is what has helped me not panic that all the kids in his class have half a mouth full of teeth.
• Carter is now giving us kisses! They are open mouthed kisses with a big 'mmmaaaah'sound that accompanies it! LOVE IT! His cousins don't quite understand why he wants to slobber on them but he really loves everyone. Every morning he grabs my arm while i'm changing his diaper and gives me kisses. Even though we are late and he keeps grabbing my arm to kiss it over and over I LOVE IT!
• Carter is now giving the dogs kisses. HATE IT! It doesn't matter what end he is at, dog's mouth or dog's butt, he'll try to give them kisses.
• We are currently attempting to fill up every free space in our house it seems. After Christmas it seems like more of our things are getting moved out and making room for new things for Carter. We are currently awaiting the arrival of a basketball goal for the living room since he has 2 boy cousins due to arrive in a few months. Rob is forming the family team already.
• We do play catch! I'm going to try to get a video of this posted but Carter gives the ball back and gets so excited. Rob is still working on strengthening his left arm.
• Itsy Bitsy Spider used to be our calming song. Now, apparently it is my tutelage on Julie Andrews. Anytime I start to instruct him on her greatness he falls asleep! I don't understand this.
• We are cruising around everything so hopefully this is getting us close to walking! I'm keeping my phone with me at all times to catch his first step!
• He's 11 months! That's so exciting and unbelievable to us that we had to put it on the list!
