BBB is here!

"Baby Brother is smiling at me" and little coos and babbles are the sweetest sounds to my ears right now. Let's see, since I haven't posted since JULY! quite a bit has happened since then. :) I really don't know where the time goes though. August started and I got moved to second grade and took on a challenging but very rewarding class. With learning a new grade level and preparing for a maternity sub and a two and a half year old August to November flew by in a blur and before we knew it we were close to having our baby brother. Carter has been excited since the day we told him he was going to be a big brother! I had anticipated baby brother being a few days early like his brother but he had other plans. I started my maternity leave right after Thanksgiving break and had 3 wonderful days to spend with just Cater and Rob. However I was done! When my doctor offered to induce I was hesitant but ready to have him here! So the day after our due date we went in to have him. On November 29, 2012 at 4:32 Zaccary Thomas Bergin was born at 8lbs11oz and 21 inches. Everything went so well and Carter was able to come up and be the first to meet him! He was so happy that the doctor got the baby out of his Mommy's tummy so that she could pick him up again. I didn't know I still wouldn't be able pick him up for another week! Note to future mom's promising to pick their child as soon as their baby is born, make no promises.

It is hard to read on this picture but his sign says that Baby Brother will be here 11/28/12
He has been so excited and keeps talking about sharing with his baby brother and teaching him to play basketball. He even started talking about our doctor one day and knew his name! It was so funny and he totally understands that the hospital is where the doctor will take the baby out and Mommy will get a popsicle like he does after shots. :)

I knew I would miss him talking to his brother and giving him hugs and kisses through my tummy.
Our dear friends Randy and Jen were so kind to meet us at the park and take all these special pictures for us. He is an awesome photographer if you need one!
My friend Liz threw me a little baby sprinkle to celebrate little baby boy. Stacy put together an awesome diaper baby and a sweet gift for Carter. It was nice to get together and celebrate our new guy b/c he deserves attention too!
My choir at church has been so excited and they surprised me with a baby shower. I cried of course b/c these kids are so amazing and bring so much happiness to everyone around them. The sign behind them has the words to one of our favorite songs that we sing every year about God's and a mother's love. It is called First Heartbeat and I cry every time they sing it, especially since becoming a mom! No mom can listen to them sing it without tearing up!
We tried to spend a lot of time with Carter doing fun things before the baby came. I attempted to go on one of our walks at the nature center but couldn't make it b/c i was so big and didn't have proper shoes on for safe walking. I was so sad not to be able to go with them. I was ready to have baby brother here!

I started my maternity leave and baby brother still wasn't here! We got a lot done though and had a couple wonderful days together! Carter was a big help decorating the tree!

Baby Brother is finally here!!! He was born and we still hadn't finalized his full name! It was a great labor though and I couldn't have been happier with how it went. Carter brought him his first gift of a sheep. Carter has slept with his sheep since day one and he wanted baby brother to have one too!
Carter was the first to meet his baby brother and immediately said he loved him! It was exactly what I wanted. We had some time together as just our family first and bonded with our new little guy. My parents then came and got introduced to Zaccary's strong lungs! He was not happy those first few hours!

This was his first time holding his baby brother and he was so proud! Carter has so much love to give and I am so blessed to be the Mommy of two wonderful boys. Zaccary was such a good baby in the hospital. Once we got settled in the room he was perfectly content.
