Week 21

Pregnancy is great! I really can't complain! I've had a wonderful experience so far. The only things bothering me is that i tore open an old bag of trail mix from the first day of school just to pick out the raisins and M&M's because I wanted something sweet this afternoon and I've started to hate the sound of the pop machine at school. I'm silently cursing every soda that i hear fall from it b/c I know I can't have it.
Things are just cruising along here. I don't really have a lot of news to share until this weekend when we register! Rob and I are heading down to Tulsa for the traditional sister's baby registering shopping. Highlights include the ever legendary "Abort" story from Laura's registering, the twins serenading the shoppers during Jennifer's registry, so who knows what will happen this time! Rob and I are crib shopping and have been spending every waking moment organizing the house. He's still being awesome and letting me choose everything we eat. I don't really have any cravings besides watermelon (which for your knowledge can still be found in Kansas City and down here at Sams, most grocery stores have stopped carrying it and believe me, i've been to a couple) so I felt bad that he is always eating whatever i want. Well one afternoon I let him pick and Chipotle wasn't all that bad, it just isn't my favorite. Well this week I told him to pick whatever he wanted and he wanted to go to Burger King. I am here to tell you that the Burger King on Republic and National is no longer up to par. First off we waited for 10 minutes before they told us they were out of the meat and could we switch to Whopper's. okay, fine. So then i watch as they violate what I'm sure had to be at least a dozen health codes and finally (after Rob made me go sit down b/c I was about to throw a hissy fit) they get our food and it is just unbearable. I mean, I look forward to dinner ALL day! I really like knowing and planning what I'm going to eat so this random stop at Burger King was just not satisfying me. However, to make it the absolute worst experience Rob bites into his Whopper and stops and looks at me and just says, "Sweetie, I'll eat all of this and then we'll go get you whatever you want. Anywhere you want to go we'll go." Do you know why he said that...because they put mayonnaise on their cheeseburgers!!!! I mean, who does that! Disgusting! I was so mad. Poor management, lengthy wait, teenager wiping sweat from forehead while putting food together and now mayonnaise!
Long story short, we've decided that we will go back to me always picking our food.
Well, I'll promise to update with pictures from our registering weekend and hopefully those pictures will include a crib selection! This child may be sleeping in our dresser drawer!
