Just Moving Along!

How adorable is it that he loves to help vacuum! We have a love/hate relationship though b/c it is adorable and fun but yet makes vacuuming last 20 minutes longer.

He loves to help!

Daddy has as much fun with the blocks as Carter does.

Just hanging out on a Friday night. We like to go casual around here.

Hey Everyone! So it's been 2 months since a post. Each time I feel like I'm getting things under control something happens. Literally time is moving at break neck speed! Carter is 14 months now and walking all over the place. He is so much fun! We play catch, chase, and patty cake all day! He will get something in his hands that he knows he shouldn't have and get this grin as he watches us come toward him and the little stinker runs off! We've just been so busy! School is almost over so I am very excited for our summer. Auntie Stacy has made a list of all sorts of fun things for us to go do over the summer and we bought a water table and sand box for the back porch. Since it's been awhile I thought it would be time to list a few things we've learned.

  • No matter how much I work there will always be one room in the house not clean. It will usually be the master bathroom. Do not go in there. Some of you may not believe it but my standards of clean have gone way down. I figure if Carter is getting licked by the dogs that him trying to taste the carpet isn't any worse.

  • Making it till 11pm is an amazing feat. My typical bedtime is 10/10:30 right after the news. I consider myself still young when I make it all the way through the news. However it doesn't really happen. I never know what is going on outside our house.

  • Carter's main goal right now is to see how flexible he is. He chooses to test his strengths during the middle of poopy diapers. The child will be as still as a statue during wet diapers and rehearsing for Cirque du Soleil for any poopy one.

  • Nap time is precious. Don't ever take that away from me. The amount of work I can do in 3 hours surpasses what I used to do in a day. The entire time though I am thinking about sleeping.

  • You should buy stock in cheerios now. Those little bits of whole grain are miracle workers. Everyone at church thanks me for bringing a fresh supply each Sunday.

  • I'm thinking about sleeping now

  • There is no definition of the word repetition in a toddler's mind. Would anyone like to hear Brown Bear, Brown Bear? I can recite it perfectly. I've also perfected Patty Cake and Itsy Bitsy in all musical versions, jazz, rock, lullaby, folk. You name it and I can sing it.

  • It's 10:22 so I'm falling asleep. I'll have to update more later. Thank goodness for autosave. I fell asleep and canceled this! I would have cried if I had lost all this and it would probably have been another two months!
