Okay. Class number 4 has done it. I didn't laugh once. This isn't funny anymore. Let me paint a picture for you. The last three Tuesdays have been like this, sit down, get some information on relaxation techniques, Rob has to massage my back, get a snack, more information and then end with some relaxation with Rob massaging me again for the last 30 minutes of class. Not to shabby for a Tuesday evening.
Things have changed.
Tonight was actual pushing, labor positions, a live birth video, more cramming of the fake baby through the pelvis model, and no massages. Not cool. I did not laugh once. Not even when she was in the labor position and said a 'that's what she said' comment. Didn't phase me from the focus of what I have to do and the fact that there is no turning back now.
I can't even type really right now or think about what to say. I'm going to go to bed and find my 'happy relaxation place' from Class 3 when things were happy and easy going and I was getting massaged every Tuesday night.
On a side note, my feet are much better today. I wore tights under my slacks and sneakers today and was light on my feet all day despite the fact that it was the 100th day of school and I made the mistake of saying you could bring in 100 items of anything to bring in to glue to paper. I spent the day going from desk to desk and trying to figure out how to glue down 100 paperclips or 100 broken animal cookies. I'm thinking sneakers and slacks are the way to go from now on when chasing around first graders all day.
