What I've Always Wanted!

It is finished! I once babysat for a family who had their entire basement wall as a world map and I would make the kids sit down there and play while I tried to learn as much about geography as I could seeing as how I somehow was unable to learn it at school. I loved the map and love traveling so I vowed that one day I would have a map on the wall where my kids could learn and we could talk about all the wonderful places in the world. Here it is! I love it! The mural was painted by my oldest brother in law's mom who is an artist here in Springfield. She was awesome and put whatever we wanted on there! We didn't want it too cluttered but she said she would come and add anything we wanted if we thought of something or traveled somewhere in the future. You can't see too close but there is something at every spot that Rob and I have traveled to together. We also added a few other major landmarks. I love it and will proudly show off my child's genius by teaching him the continents and oceans song first so he can sing it for you!
